... during our 2 day stay there, and it was actually quite warm. We did see the Grand Canal spilling over on our first night out. That was wild. Got to Florence at around 3pm, and checked in. The check in process was really quick, with the staff calling each of our names out one by one, us handing over our passports until we came back later to make payment, and our keys and linen handed to us. The females were also given a little package to take including shampoo, moisturizer, soap, nail file and cotton buds, for the Girls Only dorms. ... family, we took a couple of bottles of her own chianti and sat by the pool with two other couples from the United States (Pittsburgh and Baltimore).
