... was alot less people so had a nice swim before going to do some internet stuff to work out where we would go the next day. Decided to go back to Rome cos all the campsites were booked out and it wasnt very relaxing anyway.
After another swim to cool down, went to bed but much to our disdain, the Kareoke bar started up, which consisted of the worst singing I have ever heard (mostly kids) broadcasted through the campsite til 1145pm ...
... next to. Walking up the stairs to the top of the tower was really weird. The spiral stone staircase inside the tower is of course built to have been level if the tower was level, so as you walk up the staircase, the steps alternate between leaning to the left, right, forward and back. After 700 years of people walking up and down the staircase, there are depressions worn into the stone and you can see the path that people follow on the stairs as they weave back ...
