... pilgrimage, and not Pietrasanta where we had spent the previous evening. He went so far as to escort us to the Municiopo (Town Hall) to have our pilgrim passports stamped, and to be photographed for the local newspaper. By the way, did I ever tell you I was interviewed and had my photograph taken by a journalist writing an article on the pilgrim support service provided by Reims Cathedral?

After another swim to cool down, went to bed but much to our disdain, the Kareoke bar started up, which consisted of the worst singing I have ever heard (mostly kids) broadcasted through the campsite til 1145pm ...

A travel blog entry by hannahteebay on Jun 11, 2012

... American guy came up and starting chatting to us. He told us this was the best Gelato shop he has been to, and he had been traveling around Italy for a while. Later on we saw him playing a wooden flute to a pair of scared looking tourists, we think he was a bit of a hippie, but he was right about the geato!

It is obvious how integral the ocean is to the people that live in the Cinque Terre. Where we have cars parked outside ...
