... fıtted the new cylinder and piston and then left Sebastian, motor running, having refused a single lei (Romanıan currency) in payment. His blog is www.einfachlos.blogspot.com
good luck wıth the German and good luck to the German.
The Carpathian mountains were fınished for me, I was to continue south east while the mountaıns hook round westward. Arriving in Constanza on the Black sea coast I had been ...
... booking so that was our first priority. We found one fairly soon which is fairly new and not too far from the sights. Unfortunately the sights are pretty ordinary with only a few interesting buildings. Constanta has a huge port but it did not seem to be very busy. The city seems very run down and neglected and in also fairly expensive for accommodation. It is right on the ocean and there is quite a large beach (not very picturesque though) near our hotel.
Constanta, Romania souter... we arrived in Constanta we realized the entire city is a dive and it isn't where we want to be. I looked in the brochure Ally got from the Romania tourism board to see the picture. Which is when we realized the picture of the gorgeous Black Sea and the white sand beach is not of Constanta but a nearby beach resort town called Mamaia. So we passed right through Constanta, paid the 3 lei toll ($1.20) to get into Mamaia, and were greeted with the Lake ...
Mamaia, Romania travelingdivaFinally got to the bus station, got onto a sleek looking mini bus and off we went. Unfortunately the windows were mostly fogged up, still being early so didnt get a lot of pics on the way. About 2.5 hours later we arrived at Constanta, the seaport of Romania. I had planned to stay here a night, but i didn't like the look fo the people ...
Constanta, Romania scottik38Woke early Saturday to catch an early train to the Black Sea resorts in Constanta. You have to catch an early train this time of year coz the trains are 40 years old and have no AC, so in the afternoon they are brutal. Met up with some friends and went out on the town. Notthing too exciting to report...good food and a good time, but I was too tired and heated to really ...
Constanta, Romania kenpeterson... with them as here we`re not going to catch anything [the road was literally empty] and I`ll calculate the costs on the way there. If you negotiate 25 Euros per person, I`m in." They did indeed. The coach was half empty. The other half was filled by... Romanian gypsies. While I was asleep our guys were being friendly to them, we being fed by them etc., in order to make them not to rob us at night. We went through the whole coastline of Bulgaria and at midnight we ...
Constanta, Constanta, Romania bogna... markets and rides. You can compare it to Thredbo (where everything is alive in winter) but here it is the case in summer. It was some experience. So after going to sleep around 1am on Sunday morning, then waking up at 4 to leave for seaside, we were totally wasted and went to bed about 11pm. On Monday we caught up with some friends from Roxy's home town. We were together at the beach. It was pretty much a bludge day where we lazed around. Here we ...
Constanta, Romania rvsHere was a day we will never forget. We were scammed of cash and didn't even realize it till later on. What happened was we were looking for a bus stop to take us to a place called Mamaia resort which was recommended to us by a Romanian working on the ship. With the brochure in hand of the on/off tourist bus that went there we were asked by a guy in the street if we needed help finding the stop. We were with another couple ...
Constanta, Romania costa07... general are very friendly, very helpful, and generally eager to practice their English. And let me just say it again: the girls here are *EXQUISITE*. I don't know what it is about this country, but it rivals, without doubt, the girls of Slovakia, and I was in heaven there. If anyone is looking for a gorgeous Eastern European hookup, you owe it to yourself to come to Romania. You wont be dissapointed =P With that...wow. Lets go home. Maybe it's time. I just don't know. Cheers.
Constanta, Romania papapeta33Well, there isn't much to say about Romania. There also wasn't much for us to do. So what we did end up doing is just headed to the beach on the Black Sea, and snap a photo or two. Constanta was kinda odd, it seemed like it was trying to fit into the rest of Europe, but wasn't doing too good of a job at it.
