... driver still wanted 45 lei. Hiro was fed up and threw 15 lei inside the taxi and yelled some choice words at the taxi driver. They stomped into the hotel without looking back. The taxi drove away.

Normally, they wouldn't make a stink about such little money but nobody likes to get cheated. I say they passed the Dave and Michelle's assertiveness training test.
