... after a head injury. In the evening we popped out to try and find something to eat was just about to give up seeing as everything is shut and closed when Ian went ahead and found a kebab shop so got some take away kebabs and ate them in the room then watched all the worst american sitcoms ever on the tv the only things that we could find in english. Which I have to admit was better than watching BBC world news which I had been ...
Opatija, Istria, Croatia traceybelle... are still in the north and onto our second Island. Weather is superb and all the masses of tourists have gone home - so great pace..something about island life.
We have been eating loads of seafood but Jarrad is yet to catch us a fish - on the list of things to do!
Anyway here are the pics of our antics once again.

... br>We then drove over to Krk Island to the resort of Baška... as I said before there were only 2 campsites and the one with shade was a naturists one so we thought ahh, why not. Hmmm, it was an experience.... there are some things you just dont need to see which is namely fat naked men with their things flapping around in the wind. We got brave enough to bare all on the beach but I couldnt quite get to walking around ...

Rijeka, Croatia artoftravel... a castle on the top of a hill. There are 560 stairs to get up to it. Needless to say, I stopped and rested several times on that trip. But...not much else to do, except the hostel has TV!!!!! In English! Alot of channels. And CNN! My first in months and months. And wifi is good too. So I am studying up on the Slov history. Is very interesting.
Great little place to relax, with plenty of beaches (topless, nude or otherwise), hiking, boating and more. Heavily touristed by northern Europeans, with lots and lots of skin on the beaches and boats, and a very interesting medieval town made for wandering tourists.
After a couple more days in Zadar enjoying the beautifully clear sea, playing water frisbee and playing with an incredibly cute stray black kitten we headed off to see what the island of Krk had to offer. Bored of just driving down motorways we took the scenic route up the coast, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery on one side and the gorgeous blue adriatic sea on the other. It was a ...
Krk, Croatia simon_and_tess... and myself all agreed the views were some of the most beautiful we have seen in the world. it was really incredible. we drove along the cost for about an hour and came up to a place that said there was a ferry...so we went and checked it out. we ended up going to the island of Cres...off the coast...the largest island in Croatia with a pop of like 3000...so not that many. Cres ...
