Akihabara, a dog`s paradise!

... there was even a woman model getting raped by a dog. It sounds really terrible, but for some reason Sean and I thought it was so strange that it was funny. There was some guy at the glass case, too, taking a look. But I`ll steer clear of some of the less savory details.

In shop with the woman-dog coupling, there were a lot of models that were dressed as movie characters, which Sean and I were pretty amazed at - they looked very ...

... was boarded on the plane at around 4:15pm...but something was going on with the plane and the FAA, about the gate changes and plane change and everything..So guess what time we finally started MOVING....6:30pm! They made us SIT on the plane for over 2 hours!!! The flight itself was quite uneventful. 13 hours and 5 minutes! Enough said! The 747 didn't even have individual tv screens..so everybody was forced to watch whatever was put on. I don't know any of the movies ...

Foreign Fumble #1

... rode a waterbus up the river to Asakusa - the small town that most resembles historical Japan. This stop was the highlite of my day - I was giddy with excitement over all the quaint shops but more enthralled with Sensoji Temple where i got to witness a Buddhist ceremony. The chanting was transe like. i spoke with a few old Japanese men who explained a bit of the practices and one showed me how to purify ...

Tokyo: The Big Japple.

... Seven-Eleven around the corner and at some point pass out from exhaustion. The following day is our last in Tokyo. We awake and check out of our broom closet, put our backpacks in lockers at a train station and head out for one last look at Japan. We seek out what is listed in our Lonely Planet Japan guide as a 'Godzilla Statue', somewhere in central Tokyo, hoping to finally find an example of real Japanese history and culture. We're surprised that we haven't seen ...

Here at last

After a good flight, but with only an hour's sleep, we got to Narita about 9am, got the bus into Tokyo and headed to our hotel. The room was unbelievably small. We had lunch in a place that Sam had recommended. Unfortunately we had to queue for twenty minutes And then another 20 minutes. Whereas in the UK sushi is rice with an invariably tasteless fish garnish, this stuff was out of this world, with huge slabs ...

... found the Japanese in Tokyo extremely friendly and welcoming. A lot of them speak English and if they don't, they still make a real effort to try to communicate somehow. We were absolutely amazed at the fact that the cashier at the local supermarket and the man selling tube tickets were able to speak English. Needless to say that it would not happen in reverse in London!! After that, we headed for SHIBUYA, which is the shopping district. Crossing the street at Shibuya. Tokyu ...

Japan- our final port

... Nijo Castle which had gardens behind it full of cherry blossoms, it was amazing. As you walked underneath them it was almost like the trees were snowing blossoms on you and it went on for about a quarter mile. After we left we jumped on a random bus, since we had no idea where to go and met a group of Americans who ended up being from NC right near Elea. They were there for their friends wedding so they showed us how to get to Gion which is where the geishas work ...

... the latest in Virtual Reality, a 200+mph electric car and all sorts of nano technology. We could have stayed in there for hours. The planetarium was spectacular, describing a trip through the milky way and the universe in amazing 3D. I have never seen anything that comes close to it - the 3D cinema at Alton Towers is absolutely rubbish! The night life and shopping districts were just like I imagined. Huge neon lights and TVs, small dark bars and groups of men ...
