A completely new experience on my round the world trip started in Japan. First of all, I realised very soon that I'm travelling in off-season. Some places were really quiet, in my Nikko hostel stayed two Japanese an American and me. I really enjoyed meeting some Japanese people and being able to ask some weird questions. On my visit in Nikko I visited some very beautiful shrines, but also saw some behaviours of Japanese visitors that I couldn't understand. My new friends helped me out ...

Interesting fact of the day: 25 people this year have died already on Mount ...

I drove close to the waterfalls, but as soon as I found the parking fee was 300 yen, I was discouraged from seeing them. After all, I decided to pass it up, because I was afraid of wasting more money in Horaiji.
