      Honest Hotel

On arrival, tried to pay the taxi driver who very honestly returned my 6,000 dong as payment is made at the hotel. On departure, I left my clear plastic wallet in the room with a $100 which was returned by the cleaning staff as I checked out. When we went back in the evening to collect our bags, I discovered I had also left my adaptor and iphone recharger in the room! Again, all returned with a smile! such honesty.

      Very Small Rooms

Though I had paid for a Superier Dlux room they gave us the smallest room in the hotel on the 1st night. Not until I made a little noise did the manager get involved and we were given the room paid for the 2nd night and a free banquet seafood lunch.
I found the front desk lady rude and arrogant and ensure for our stay that I did not deal with her. The plus side of the hotel is that it is in a good location, has a pool, and walking distance to most things.
It is old and a little run down but it is also HCM.

Credit card and discount coupon hassles

Charged credit card $10 to validate it. Hassle with discount coupons at bar (we used them 3 minutes early, so they would not honour them).

Restaurant is buffet style, slow to get drinks. Food is OK but not notable.

Paris was cool and sunny for our last day. Packed and checked out and then breakfast. Greg said good morning to everyone and everyone said good morning back to him in various languages. We sat down for our breakfast and Greg engaged the young Japanese woman seated next to us in conversation. She could speak some English and they managed to continue …

Ok so we havent had any problems for a while, until now! After getting our luggage, we walk outside to get a taxi to our hostel! Finding one we tell him where we need to go, asking him how much it will be he replies with 300000dong (31000dong being about 1pound) we tell him we have the money getting in! After a few minutes of driving we rea...
