Paris, Île-de-France, France cariverga... drunkly pick up the asian tourists with my stereotypical 80's Vietnam war movie asian prostitute voice or maybe a few magic tricks. (This entry may get blocked by the website supervisors) haha

... was about 1km in heels that did it!!! Anyway the show was pretty good, I wouldn´t go and see it again but it´s something ya gota do in Paris really. Dinner was okay, French onion soup, steak and fries (!!!) and a sorbet in liquid thing (yum), the wine was pretty good though. I (along with a few others) struggled to keep my eyes open during the show..I was knackered! After we got home we both crashed (after getting caught in another traffic jam at 11.30 at night!

Most of you will know it as the museum that houses the Mona Lisa it was also used in the book "The Da Vinci Code" but I won't say why ;) The subway actually pops you out inside part of the palace where they have the reverse pyramid of glass hanging from the roof which we were glad about as we didn't really know where it was. We then found our ...

Much like the drive out of Paris on the first day, the drive back into Paris was a white knuckle experience for me. Matt was much more comfortable this time in a car he had come to know well in the last month, however the constant lane changing and crazy driving of the French was still enough to make me very nervous. We did take the obligatory video footage ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France wells2008... On a parlé de sa vie. Etc.... Comme on dit: "A nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live here." Et puis, quand Yétoundé est partie, on a ét ...
Paris, France carpeau... first sight I eventually visited after stumbling along at the end of the blue metro line was the 'Promenade Plantee' a park built on an old railway line that sits above the city. It is described as 'a haven of tranquility' and 'one of Paris's most serene & romantic places to stroll.' Not sure what the guide book lady was on when she wrote that, it was a dirty piece of concrete with plants down either side with graffiti and bums all through it having their morning vino. I guess ...
Paris, France joeychiken... an egg is based on the premise that the egg has to remain plunged in the hot water. As I'm filling a bowl with yogurt, I catch my Dad fumbling around with one of the dippers, giggling surreptiously, trying not to attract attention. I lean over, and ask, "What's going on? I can see your shoulders shaking with laughter...". He can barely speak, he has tears running down his cheeks, and is stifling laughter. "My egg... it's floating! It won't sink..." I look into the egg-cooker ...

You get a 500 rupee fine!' they warned us earnestly. This is about a fiver. We didn't have the heart to explain that we would have given 10 times that just to get off this train and onto our flight. It was apparent from our previous experiences with rule breaking in India, however, that being fined takes a very, very long time. Our only option was to make for ...
Paris, France charlotte_bovis... house wine accompanied. We spent a long time at lunch and left completely full. Next we headed for the Orsay Museum. Again we did not wait in line because of our passes. We were tired but saw much of the collection which includes a lot of the impressionist works that are not at the Louvre. There are many pictures included. I was getting "gallery legs" so we started to head back to the hotel. We did discover some wonderful shops along the way in Sainte ...
