... we came back to the hotel and Phillip had a rest and I went shopping for some shorts. I enjoyed looking at the shops for a little while but most things were very expensive but I did find a pair of 3/4 pants for only $25 so was pleased. Then I too came back for a rest before we meet the tour director and the people we will be touring Sicily with. ... lucky to have what we did. Had a casual dinner in the Piazza del Duomo while we admired Catane Fontana dell Elefanti. Poked our noses through a guarded arch to discover carriages on display. Watched wedding photos being taken and ongoing life in Piazza Del Duomo. The Duomo itself was, as expected, very impressive, as were so many other churches and stately buildings in the area.
