The Sicilian Fly-By and Swiss Fighter Intercept
This morning we caught a C-130 {slow propeller cargo plane} to Sicily. We landed and found that there is a flight to Germany in a couple hours. Tomorrow there are five or so flights to the East Coast. We are going to forgo exploring Sicily and opt to catch a flight to the US from Germany, and return to explore Sicily some future summer.....Susan really wants to try ...

Inzwischen finden wir uns auf dem Schiff schon ganz gut zurecht. Wichtig ist es, immer zu wissen, wo hinten und vorne ist. Das ist gar nicht immer so einfach. Wenn man Zimmernummern sieht, dann geht es gut, aber sonst kann man sich ganz schön verhauen und am falschen Ende des Schiffes landen. Meine Kabine ist in der Mitte des Schiffes, direkt bei den mittleren Liften. Das hat sich als sehr praktisch herausgestellt. ...
Trip to Catania
After got stuck for 2 days at a really nice spot we needed to leave even in the worst weather to Catania to catch the ferry to Naples. We passed LOOOOOOOOOOOOTS of Bunkers as you see in the second entry here - called: Fortress Sicily
