... until Monday night or Tuesday. I must confess to be a little relieved once I’d seen the lovely Murano glass dish he had left for us. I’d only brought him a Liverpool pen and fridge magnet!!!

... an hour to complete at least one hill, so after Riomaggiore and Manarola, at the third (and our favourite - Corniglia) we dived into our first pizza of the trip and a much needed swim at a secluded beach which is only accessible through an old railway tunnel for a kilometer in the dark – what an experience!
