... of the lagoon it was lovely. After a shower and we had freshened up we decided to go for a bit of a wonder and look at some shops. I think we pretty much fell in love with Venice straight away but it was soo hot. Venice is very nice. No cars . You can travel by foot or by foot . The saint Marco place is very crowded. But the doge 's palace that is a bijou. we also went to see a few galleries which one that is Pinault the collection of Martial Raysse.We stayed in a airbnb appartement which was in San Polo .

... go there before we leave, T shirts, magnets, and stuff, the street hawkers that have the Inspector Gadget trench coats for when the weather changes. Now they are selling bags, when it rains umbrellas will appear from nowhere. We have learnt to say "no thank you " ,before they even ask and keep walking. I think good on them for making a living, and people do buy from them. But I hate being hassled.

Note to self: never again catch the No. 2 vaporetto at the train station stop. I thought I remembered seeing fewer crowds on the No. 2 waterbus but that must have been farther along on its route. It took the best part of 90 minutes to arrive at Pisa and another ten minutes to walk to the main area from the bus stop. Our guide, Mikayla, was waiting for us outside the ticket booth with instructions for getting the tickets for some of the venues.
