Heading off to the airport, IAH! Next Stop Atlanta, then a straight 15 hrs to Joburg, where we'll catch another plane to Gaborone! We have a room at a casino resort to relax and unwind before we head out to the white hot sands of the Kalahari. Im taking a duffel bag and a backpack, with mostly clean clothes and books. 36 Days will be over in the blink of an eye! ...
Not much to write about...
My only reason to come to Houston was to visit the NASA space center. Frankly, it was unimpressive at best.
Houston downtown looked very busy, huge and un-inviting and I felt very tired at the same time. So I decided not to do anything else in Houston. I checked into a motel close to NASA and crashed.
Tomorrow morning, I leave for the Bayou country in Louisiana. My destinations are going to be Lafayette, Avery Island, New Orleans and anywhere else that looks ...

... erdem würden sie ja noch nicht mal akzeptieren, wenn zwei legal verheiratete Schwule hier ankämen, weil andere Gesetze und Sitten in Texas nicht interessieren! Cancelled flight and problem solving
... see if they would cancel our room without charging us. (United did say that they could send something to the hotel showing that our flight was indeed cancelled.) We did that (excellent hotel), then seriously considered cancelling the whole weekend. But cooler heads prevailed, and we returned to the desk to see if we could both get on the early flight to Chicago, spend the night, then arrive Austin mid-day. The agent suggested we get on a 6:30pm flight to Houston, ...
Day Visit to Kemah
... Aquarium which doubles as a resturant and loved the Gumbo and Salad that we ordered. The Aquarium was beautiful and we viewed the different types of life that lived in the aquarium as we ate.
The best part of my Kemah experience was the train ride around the boardwalk that doubled as a tour. It was quite fun...even if made mostly for kids...and I really want to visit Kemah again during warmer months. ...
