... way up to Trump Tower we saw another tourist have her photo taken with a couple of New York cops, so Kat jumped in and asked if they would pose with her. Of course they would, who wouldn't. She then insisted we go into Trump Tower and that seemed like a good idea, especially as there was a coffee shop and toilet... I mean 'restroom' on the lower floor. So we had our coffee next to the water feature in the Trump Cafe listening to the background mood ...

That said, I've seen a 1970's Fiat 500, a series 2 E-type Jaguar, a Honda NSX, sundry Corvettes and new Mustangs. The dominant colour is black (2/3rds of all cars) . Your best car in NYC is the ...

... Still it was warm, spotlessly clean and the bunk beds were very comfortable indeed. We had slippers and robes provided for midnight dashes to the toilet so we were sorted. To be honest we were so tired we probably would have slept anywhere.

New York is somewhere we have both been before; together and in previous lives so how do you make it different? Determined to create a new impression we decided everything we did had to be ...

... Trade Centre and 9/11 memorial. The 2 memorial pools are a somber reminder that they occupy the footprint of the 2 buildings that were destroyed during the attack. They are very tastefully designed and are inscribed with the names of the victims. The newest World Trade building constructed after 9/11 is just called Building One. The exterior is all glass and we were amazed at the window cleaners doing their work. I suspect just after ...
