    ... paddling gracefully in the boating lake, which was cute, and a Japanese family grounding their rowing boat about ten foot from the shore, which was funny! It's astounding just how many people were in the park, playing sports, rollerblading, cycling, jogging or just lazing on the grass (us). Even with so many people, there seemed to be more than enough space for everyone. We walked back to the hotel - we had walked nearly 9 miles! Time for a cool down - Sherrie had the idea ...

    ... We stood in the window and check out Sami Lucis Travel Facebook for our pic. Check the dude in Kim's pic .. Great style .... Don't think he realized he was being photographed!     ... a long stretch of shore on the East River with magnificent views of lower Manhattan. There are lots of family things to do on the repurposed piers. One pier has been turned into several soccer fields and it looked like another was lined with basketball courts. There were picnic tables everywhere and grills there for the public to use.
