Paignton House Resort Minett

Da es uns so gut gefiel, sind wir noch einen weiteren Tag geblieben. Zwei kurze Wanderungen standen auf unserem Plan.

Der erste Trail brachte uns zu einem schönen Aussichtspunk an der Georgian Bay. Es war wunderschön und ruhig und die Aussicht einfach herrlich. Auf dem Rückweg hörten wir plötzlich ein Geräusch. Es raschelte im Laub und kam trasch näher. Wir mussten beide lachen, als es zwei Eichhörnchen waren, die einander jagten ...

Am Morgen sind wir zu einer 2 stündigen Wanderung aufgebrochen. Die Rangers haben gesagt, dass wir vielleicht noch Elche im Wasser sehen werden. Bereits nach 10 Minuten ist ein Schwarzbär vor uns über den Weg gelaufen! Danach waren also die beiden Bärenglöckchen montiert. Ein bisschen ein mulmiges Gefühl hatten wir also schon. ... to go biking, but we thought that 15$ an hour is a totally CRAZY rate. Then we had dinner at the Eclipse, and again, we found everything quite unimpressive. Breakfast buffet the next day was good though, but then at 18$ per head, it better be.

I dont want to sound like everything is about cost here. Cost and Worth are two very different things. I guess i found that staying in Deerhurst will not give you the greatest value for your money, in these terms ...

Gone to play some drunkan sports with some old friends and made some new ones for the wkend. Like all good things, it's coming to an end. Easter is around the corner Tomorrow is Good Friday and we're off to Toronto to spend Easter weekend with Nicole’s family. It's goodbye to Pioneer... but happily not quite time to say goodbye to the Macleans.

... 4 year old birthday food and games, and meeting all the nice folks that work at Pioneer, and the beginnings of getting to know Jake and Juliet, Jake’s 2 month old sister. It was indeed a wonderful wonderful day.

I'm sleeping upstairs in the staff lodge, and it's a bit like being back at Living Springs, albeit colder... and people's accents are different. Either way it's comfortable and welcoming and familiar.
