... stop was the end of the road down by the beach. We went through a open range with cattle grazing close to the road. There were some stunning shoreline views. Attached is a picture of one of the arches.
On the way home we caught a glimpse of a rusted tanker. There was some graffiti on the tanker that we thought was very profound. A picture is attached.
We finished the day off with a bowl of gelato.

Over on the beaches the surf was really pumping. We managed to get some shots between the showers. The boys wimped on surfing but so did everyone else as you can see there was no one in the waves at approx. 2.30pm. A bit unusual as a market stall seller said that there are normally about a dozen surfers in the water at this time.

Got up early for an 8am tour of Lahaina Family Farms. Tim picked us up in a Ranger land rover, and up the hill we went. The farm is about 70 acres on a rugged slope. Tim and wife Harline are converting this rocky barren land into an organic farm that will someday be self sustaining. Now, if I hadn't had that insanely amazing burger at Hard Rock Cafe not long before, I would have said Stewart's was the best burger in Maui...however, he had to settle for second best. Still it was good. Owen ate my fries again. Macyn's grilled cheese was actually borderline gourmet. Food has to be good in this town as competition is steep.
