Lots of rain and wind, but the biggest thing was the thunder and lightning. Non-stop thunder for two hours. Literally no break between - just one constant roll of thunder for two hours. LOUD! Shook the condo. Tons of lightning too. Now it seems to be done. Was kind of fun while it lasted! ...

... passing huge resorts - thought of Titsy - one resort had 3 championship golf courses on it! At the end of the road was a nature reserve with the type of cinder cones that we would have seen from the top of Haleakala.... like very first stage of scrubby vegetation cover in dry to typically lovely sandy beaches.

Caught up with very relaxed rapidly brown looking girls later in the afternoon, before going out to dinner.
