Zadar, Zadarska, Croatia matti5dJust spent all day yesterday at the beach, alternating between sleeping on the shore and lazing on a lie-low on the ocean. beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky, clear blue ocean. exactly what we all needed to recharge after 15 days of non stop moving around. I think everyone that got swineflued is now recovered, so we should be good to go for the next 12 days :( until the end of the trip.
<br ...
Pag, Zadarska, Croatia ellemojoHere are some pics of Pisa's only real site tourists. I learned that the tower is actually a campanile and I had to dig further to figure out what in the world that means. Actually campanile is just a fancy word for bell tower, so why can't people just call it what it is so I don't have to ask around what all these big words mean?

This marvel of 12th Century engineering was begun on August 9, 1173 and took 177 years to complete. Let's think about this a ...

Zadar, Zadarska, Croatia artoftravel...

Zadar, Croatia artoftravel... respect. It really isnt that *******ce you do it for a while. He explained that he has always been sheltered from his family and thought that a 3 month trip by himself would help his character and his development as a person. I told him a trip alone would defnitely bring him the confidence he was looking for and that he should do it. He would never regret it. Hopefully one day he remembers my advice. Anyhow,we spoke for a few hours. The Belgians then invited me out ...
Pag, Croatia dinovagabond... you arrive at some adventurous points. There will be more days like this and I just need to make the best of it. During my stroll, I came across an Indian man from South America. He had a spot on the boardwalk where he was singing traditional Andes music. The guy was excellent and he had a pretty good crowd watching him. I watched him for about 30 minutes. I wondered what his story was. Here is a guy who probably grew up in a small remote village ...
Pag, Croatia dinovagabond... had a "Rooms Available" sign. So that is what I did. The first few places were either full or there was no answer. About 10 minutes into my door knocking adventure, I scored a decent place. An old lady led me to her neighbour who she knew had a single room available. I went into the backyard and that is where I met my host and hostess for the next 3 nights - Momma Boyana and Papa Slobodan. They are a retired couple who own a home in Pag. They spend their ...
Pag, Island of Pag, Croatia dinovagabond... the larger lakes. The boats were delayed a bit because of the fog (they were concerned they might crash) but this only added to the magic.. as you would travel across this fog covered lake to see the other shore gradually appear out of nothing.. to see waterfalls become visible through the fog. The first series of lakes had left me pretty impressed but the second lot literally left made my draw drop. I was walking around just amazed ...
