... where a dam had been build and we had to walk around it and down 2 flights of stairs, while the guide let the raft drop down the river on its own and collected it at the bottom - it had to do this down 2 dam walls and we met him at the bottom where we all climbed back in.

It turned out we were the dud group, as we managed to get our raft stuck on every rock possible. Even if there was only 1 potential rock in the entire stretch of river, we got lodged ...

... hassle you get from locals trying to sell you something on the walk to and from the restaurants. Although we did pick up a couple of legit Ray Bans for a couple of quid each, standing 10 metres away, you wouldn't tell the difference in quality.

... Suri was poorly and I was very pleased with how it went, I even managed to get Kristna, who never sits still or does any work, so join in!!! We did something a bit different in the afternoon and worked with a group of children who all have physical disabilities and really need help with their co-ordination and fine motor skills. We played lots of ball games with skittles and a parachute and then used musical instruments, having so much fun. They all laughed ...

... just needed to get my bed ready. At the reception I met a super friendly Canadian lady who is friends with the hostel guy who could see I was on the verge of tears from heat, tiredness and hunger! She gave me a carton of ice tea and sat me down chatting to me a while and introducing me to her Kenyan friend and her Egyptian friend when they arrived.
