... we have spent on this ship we have yet to encounter bad weather or rough seas. Because we are not in a port today the Royal Promenade was crowded with shoppers. While Doug was in the jewelry store on the Royal Promenade. He spotted a watch there that is almost identical to the one he was wearing. Happy Hour and was great. I got some sweet chilli fresh cassava chips - they were sticky and so delicious (50p), a small chocolate pancake (10p) and lots of salak (snake fruit) for 50p. I love this fruit - it's been ages since I last had it! They were selling them straight off a chunk of tree! The ferry left on time at 2.30pm, it was much busier than when I had come to the island. We arrived back into Banda Aceh town at 3.20pm and after ...

I'm not staying in the city today, instead heading to Pulau Weh, a small island just north of the main island. The area of Aceh is governed by Sharia law (it's very Muslim here). Although these laws don't apply to non-Muslims, I am covered up. And it's too hot. This has definitely not been a shorts holiday so far - they have no ...

... it was the most natural, wonderful sleep... until Rick woke up in the middle of the night and said 'the waves are too loud'. HAHA. How ridiculous.

Day 2, Friday we rented a motorbike and drove up to Kilometer 0, which is the most northern and western point in Indonesia. The drive was beautiful, all along the coast. The actual monument was a bit disappointing. It looks like someone started building it 10 years ago and just stopped and put a new sign in front of ...
