Pacific Towers Apartments Coffs Harbour

... up hill most of the way to the "big banana", a holiday resort of sorts, which I just went past. On the return journey, I went through part of the botanical gardens, but only found the swampland section, which wasn&#8217;t overly interesting. <br><br>All in all, Coffs Harbour was one of the worst places I&#8217;ve been on my travels, due to a lack of anything interesting in any form.

It has been a bit of a mad dash to Sydney for the past 2 days, since leaving the Gold Coast - the southern end of which more or less sits on the border of Queensland and New South Wales. It's hard to believe that all the adventures we've had and the diversity of the landscapes we've seen in the past 4 months, have all been within the borders of ONE state! Queensland is one of the larger Australian states however - only WA is bigger ...

... beach for a few hours before heading back to the van for the evening. This park is mainly set up for families, but it's still OK for a couple of nights. We sat and had a few beers & wine under the stars and contemplated the fact that we only had 5 more nights left in our van. We can't believe how fast it has gone! Mo &amp; I are both reluctant to leave Cobaki. She's heading back to Sydney and work, and I'm striking out on my own for the first time really since I left Scotland. I head to a backpacker hostel in Coffs Harbour and book two diving trips. The weather is a bit iffy and it's touch and go whether they will go ahead or not. ... their underside as they glide along. Their skin is so smooth, like silk - it was amazing being able to touch them. They are beautiful creatures and we could feel how solid they are - just a big bulk of pure muscle. One of them, Bella is only a baby at two years old and she is very playful. There are four dolphins, two of them are Bella's mum and dad. They are both over 30 years old, the oldest being 36. I had no idea that dolphins lived that long, it was clear to see ...

We're up at 8:30 and on the road by about 10:30. It'll take us around 6 hours to get to Coffs Harbour and we want to get there before it gets dark around 5pm. It's a great feeling as we load the backpacks into the car as we know we're back on holiday again. It's also the first time we've really been on holiday since Thailand as we're not travelling to get work or worrying about getting work etc. Bliss.
