Although Andy lodged the paperwork on Sunday for us to leave, there was a delay. At midday we were told that the paperwork was ready but we couldn't pick it up until after lunch at 2.30pm!

The VIN numbers were inspected and our passports stamped. We said goodbye to Andy which was a bit sad. We have enjoyed his company immensely over the past 3 and a half weeks not to mention his guiding skills and his help interpreting for ...

I somehow managed to get some shut eye on the sleeper bus. This only became apparent to me when I opened my eyes to see sunlight pouring through the steamed-up windows. I wiped the condensation off with my hand and looked out across the misty grasslands. Before me, stood an abundance of life sized model dinosaurs. Waking up to dinosaurs was on the more surreal side of reality, signalling that we were close to Mongolia.

    Ten minutes ...

... generating a lot of interest, both by our western appearance and the presence of the truck. Strangely, we hAve become almost a tourist attraction in our own right and people are frequently stopping to take photo's of us. At one moment, I took a photo of the photographers photographing us. It all became very amusing. I then photo bombed the photo's they were taking - I must have been bored! Driving into the ...
