      ... many give up before they reach the first hurdle? Which incidentally is no small thing....... hills (SF is built on 43 of them) steep enough to break anyone's spirit and a couple of them in the first leg of the journey!

      ... walked through. We heard about the failed escape attempts and what life was like. The cells were tiny and it actually looked and sounded like what prison should be like.
