... and singing. I wouldn't have spent four years doing little else if there was but when you've felt the seductive brush of fickle danger, accidentally kicking the theatre ceiling lights while wrapping your body in preparation for a double-spinning hurtle to the ground, welllll, let's just say it's a kick in the teeth to stop. I now walk past the dusty acrobatics box almost every day; peering despondently through the plastic at the layers of folded silk and abandoned sticky ...

After dropping Mali off at school I had a very late lunch, again sitting around the table with Annette and Lyndon. After Lahti and now here I am getting very used to this lovely, casual 'sitting around and chatting’ business, so friends back ...

... as is the Rathaus town hall. New year celebrations in Germany - or perhaps Europe more generally? - is much more lax on the rules for celebration than in Australia. As I've mentioned several times previously in this blog, Australia is quite overbearing in it's laws on what you can and can't do. Fireworks are legal on New Year's Eve until 1am on New Year's Day in hamburg, whereas they are completely illegal in Australia. So what did we do? We went out and ...
