... I probably wouldn’t have explored trade-in values!!). Early on in our Mexican adventure, her teeth (or her fillings at least) started popping out. And presumably because she struggled to keep teeth from flying out of her head, it triggered a pinched nerve in her neck which somehow led her to blow her knee out which in turn set off her sciatica (an exponential pain progression apparently). My Princess had turned into a female Quasimodo almost overnight dragging her leg behind ...

... on our snorkel stuff. Just amazing to watch them!

Herby in the meantime was waiting in the shade and was just ready to go a bit further with us to El Cedral Pueblo. But we only spent maybe ten minutes there, it is a little pueblo with a tiny ruin next to a colonial church - well the ruin is more like a little leftover from long ago - and one or two places where you can go on a free tequila tour that we still have not ...

Welcome to Miami Beach, Mexico, otherwise known as Playa del Carmen. Even though I've been in North America all along, the Yucatan and, in particular, here in Playa del Carmen, feels very, well, American, as in, United States of America. As in, McDonald's, Wal-Mart, malls, wide palm tree-lined boulevards, chain stores, people speaking English and asking for payment in American dollars, loud tourists and louder music. If not for the speed bumps and the police presence, you'd never ...

... fixed it by disabling all security on my ATM card. Just in case, I changed my PIN after every subsequent transaction on this trip.

Anyways, MXN cash in hand, we bought some basic goods like pasta, pop tarts, milk, avacadoes. Not much else today except chasing Carmen around the suite and heading to bed. We did find a way to arrange the furniture such that Carmen could not see us from the crib, allowing her to give up and go to sleep.

... it on our 30min surface interval , then found another spot that lots of divers were at but they were heading off. So we hopped on in, took about 5 mins to find them. And then we sure did. You have to imagine the water is only at about 15m visibility so you're just waiting for a shadow to form and a shark to pop out of the blue. Suddenly we were surrounded by more than we could count and keep our eyes on, we estimate 8-12 of them circling only us as we were the only divers ...
