... man with a brown bag over his shoulder ran along the deck chasing a hat that blew away from him. We turned west and for a while Corsica was to the north and Sardinia was to the south. We were sailing from the Tyrrhenian Sea into the Balearic Sea. We were heading to Barcelona. All we had to do was be moved farther on. We walked around the deck, sitting in hot sun in the lee and being blown around ...
... and through a very shallow channel between the islands. We didn't expect to see so many boats at anchor including quite a few super yachts/ motor boats.
We enjoyed the swordfish we'd bought a couple of days earlier at the fish market and I must say it was cooked to perfection.

Wanting to sleep-in we were awoken by a constant stream of boats / tenders ...
... picked up Julian from the fuel pontoon and then in afternoon went ashore to explore Mahon and get some provisioning in.
Tuesday 4 August
Gen and I went ashore to complete some more provisioning, namely at the markets. Must say they were pretty poor compared to what we've been used to and not cheap.
We then went back to the anchorage and just chilled.

We were hoping to start the passage over to Sardinia but there are no good winds ...

Cala Reale is in the central part of the island. In the Northern part you can reach Cala d'Oliva and in the Southern part you can reach Fornelli.

My flight from Dublin arrived in Alghero at 2 pm.
I went straight to the beach! I really missed the sun and the Sardinian sea!!!
I love my land and I love Alghero. Alghero is always Alghero, 'cause it has the beaches, and what beaches! And also, it has some movida at night, and nice shops, restaurant and bars...
