... been to at least have someone on the desk, and the room is usually available earlier. However when we finally checked in we couldn't complain because Juliette, one of the owners, spoke excellent English and was very welcoming. The hotel was decorated in a very contemporary style, to the extent I was concerned that our room might be like something from an Austin Power's movie!
Our room was up a set of wide, gently spiralling steps, from the 14th century, and along ...

So, this morning, we headed off, after briefing George, and made an easy run with just a brief stop at Carrefours, (sp) a big supermarket chain here. While Treas did some shopping, I decided that poor Dulcie ...

... can't be charged without the engine running..... All, in all, not a very satisfactory situation as far as I'm concerned, but, Treas wanted to be close to the "action"..... Sorry.... I wasn't sure if the world had stopped, or there had been a nuclear holocaust, but I don't think a single soul stirred the whole evening....It was spooky...! Not a single soul even ventured out of doors, not a car, no music, not a door open, not even many lights ...
