    Western Front with Gav

A travel blog entry by steve.chappo on Jun 29, 2015

Gav and Steve to Arras to do Somme area western front tour with Mirian - tour guide who was half French/half Australian and married to a gendarmerie in a town nearby. Great day. Linda enjoyed listening to the noisy donkey in the field nearby although he was probably lonely on his own. A Dutch couple we chatted to said they have been there the last 4 years and the donkey is always noisy ...

... nice and quite a good playground too, but the toilet facilities weren't the best and the water had an odd smell to it, so we only stopped here a couple of days. We have decided to change our route a bit, given it has taken us a lot longer to drive through France than we had anticipated. ...
