Boring drive day so here is life in Scooby

... messy or smelly with is good since it's my job to clean Theo out. I have coined the phrase "Feeding Theo" as a euphemism for going to the loo which Kim thinks is gross!! But I'm sure she'll be using the term in no time ;-) Gas... not bad flatulence We filled up our two 4.5kg gas bottles before we left London. The rest of Europe do not use UK calor gas bottles so at some stage we will have to buy a EU standard gas bottle - the only standard bottle is Campingaz which is ...

Gorges Verdon... Route Napoleon

... seen and spoken to, to date.
Set off mid morning to drive through Gorges du Verdon, again another stunning drive. This time though the weather was kind to us and we were able to get out for a hike after lunch. It seemed like a popular drive as we encountered several other tourists, one couple were eating lunch at the same spot we were. They packed up their picnic, took a swig out of ...

A view of the Lac

Late start today but I managed a quick refreshing dip in the river before we set off. I said to Kim give me 5 minutes she reckoned I would only need 2! She was right. Easy drive to Lac du Ste-Croix which is a huge blue lake. We found a fantastic park overlooking the lake, alongside several ...

so on we went and arrived in tours. Albeit after a long sleepless night on the train and a brief moment in paris that included a walk to the seine.
On our way into the hostel we found an old thing, and a big church, followed by an even bigger church, followed by the wrong part of old town, then a ...

... below.

Oddly, we haven't seen as many sports/exotics over here as you might think. There are a few Porches here and there. Big deal.. Some Ferraris but again not as many as I thought I would see. Oh and a couple of "greasers" in Lambos (Good God..! This could be a blog topic all on it's own, so I'll discuss in person over a glass of wine with the quiz winner)... So, what was the most spotted and ...

Antibes and St-Tropez

Cannes is not as glamrous as we thought it would be, it still has all the fancy smancy stores along the beach, but there were definitely no red carpets rolled out when we were there. We did a day trip to St-Tropez, its was the end of a hge sailing competitiona and tons of ...

... to bus the rest of the way. Monaco is so so so cool. The first thing I saw was the Casino and could not believe the array of fine automobiles parked outside. Latest model Bentlys, Rollers and Maseratis, not to mention the few classic Jaguars and Porsches that were around too. I headed down the hill to the start finish line of the Monaco race track and witnessed a F60 fly past pretending he was qualifying for pole or something. I had heard Monaco ...

I guess its normal...better then checking out all the dudes in their speedos...Gross! After a little over an hour, we decide we didn't want to get burnt, so we started packing up. This beach was so quite. All of the sudden, a whole bus load of teenagers are coming down the stairs. They were all Italian. They all dropped ...

The French Riviera

... expensive, but not cheap and tacky either. Of course, the weather helps - it is about 22 degrees at 1730. Got back to the 'hotel' at about 2000 and met my roommates - three American students on 'Spring Break' - Chris, Maia and Sally. They went out for a night on the turps so I went and grabbed some dinner and turned in at 11pm. I was awoken at 0330 when they returned and were unable to unlock the door so I had to open it for them.
