One of the absolute highlights of the week here? I found the banana roti man again!
(See 2 nights in Bangkok entry)

There he was - right there on the beach all this time. I had been walking past him without realising. My favourite people on board though were this Thai family which consisted of the old Nana, with lipstick all over her face..(**** knows who'd put it on her but she looked like she was taking the ****), the Mum and kids (Mum looked ****** off), then the Dad...who was a well funny bloke. He looked like he'd not slept or eaten in years and had just about managed to sustain himself on a diet of Whiskey and Baccy. He refused to get on at the start..lay ...

... a tomato and onion omelet but got an omelet wrapped around a cup and a half of salsa. And it wasn’t even good salsa, it was sickly sweet salsa. I would have been a lot happier with just real tomatoes and onions with my eggs.

Sometimes it’s still hard for me to believe that this is my life: I’m working a job that I love in a country that I love, spending my weekends limbo-ing under fire on a gorgeous beach. Does it get any better than ...
