    ... we took a leisurely walk to Lumphini park, seeing the Erawan shrine on route, where people visit from a far to have their prayers and wishes answered.     Went to the beach for a couple of hours in the morning (see pics) and got sunburnt shoulders on account of my new sleeveless Tshirt. The area I am staying in (the north) dominated by Russian tourists who can fly direct from Russia and they seem to have claimed the north of the area as a holiday resort, although Pattaya is by far dominated by its huge red light district.
