We continued along the coast road looking for a spot for the night. Traffic was horresdous and very slow going. I wanted to turn around and head back into France. Kim on the other hand was all smiles as she loves Italy. Finally found one in the cute little fishing village of Riva Ligure ...

After brekkie it was onto Menton which is a lovely little town just before the Italian border. Menton is a much more down to earth place than its neighbours and more our scene. We found a park right on the beach and went for a wander and took in sum much needed sun. Next stop Italia!!<br>

... and not campervan parking friendly. We found a picture perfect stop just after Monte Carlo at the top of a hill overlooking the Med. We had the place to ourselves so we russelled up some brekkie in the sun which was lovely, so much so we were in t-shirts!!!

It looked like they were filming a movie, but we couldn't find anything on imdb about it, so we kept looking for clues. ... explore a bit. I'll have to study today, but I took yesterday off completely. Just cleaned, did laundry, got groceries and read a book (in English!) Thankfully you can see they bay from our bed, or we wouldn't know we were in France at all! lol (Our apartment is small, so the bed functions as the couch too.) ... season has officially begun. :) Yesterday we did a quick walking tour of Villefranche with our classmates and got a few historical facts in before we went to lunch together. Our agenda today was to arrive in Villefranche before dark to meet up with our friends Brent and Margaret Rankine with whom we are going to spend the next 4 or so days.
