PV-Holidays Residence Maeva La Baie des Sables Les Sables-d'Olonne

We stayed 1 night in Paris with Olivier, after we spent 2 days in Rouze in Pyrenee. We finished 1st week of our vacation in Toulouse (trip by canal). Second week, we stayed in Talmont st.Hilaire in Francois´s parents.
Vendee is very very nice :-) !!!

After a week in Angers, where we stayed taking some rest at our gran parents house, we aheaded to Les sables d"olonnes, where we are going to spend 2 weeks at the shore. Look forward to it. I have been there 2 years ago. Great place to built sand castle, my cousins are coming to visit me....it is going to be a great 2 weeks.

Judith died! How are we going to manage without her - there'll be rows in the cab. She must have been dropped when planning last night.

Found this campsite after a couple of tries - clean and lovely under the pines. Swam, sunbathed, etc. for three days.

Cycled to La Flotte and St Martin first day, then Dave took us cross-country the next - big mistake, got lost, no lunch.

The Parcours Aventures was the main reason for our visit and it is really well set out. Francie asked if Odile and Oliver had bought her some 'Petit Suisse', her favourite dessert treats from her last visit, to their amusement, and we stopped by a sunflower field for Francie to have a look at her favourite flowers. At home we had a delicious meal and a catch up, Sam catching snippets of conversation, but otherwise concentrating on his dinner, egged on by frequent 'Mange, Mange' orders from the other corners of the table!!

... breaking down 70 miles away from the campsite and having to be towed unceremoniously through the streets on the back of a trailer; several nice castles, horseriding, beaches, an aquarium on Noirmoutier island, real downtime and red-wine in the sun.

... yup, we'd left the awning poles back in Wales!! Thankfully on the outskirts of Sable d'Olonne we found a caravan spares place and picked up a universal set - PHEW! We'd taken our mountain bikes expecting a good bit of exercising, but the kids decided they wanted to pose around the swimming pool and sunbathe. ... en zeilen naar hartelust met de ebstroom de La Vilaine af. Ons doel is Piriac-sur Mer, een plaatsje dat onze Nederlandse kennissen hebben aangeraden (zij blijven nog even in La Roche Bernard). Als we eenmaal bij de monding zijn aangekomen heeft de stroom ons goed te pakken en draaien we zuidwaarts met de wind pal achter ons. ... in France Marie's family took me to their beach house in Sables d'Olonne and saw a bit more of the coast again. I went to a party hosted by one of the French exchange hosts that night which was good fun. Sunday was spent just finishing packing and Marie and her family took me for a walk and ride on the horses, around the back of their property, following the river, and ending up behind the castle in Tiffauges.
