Today is the
second last day of my holiday so I felt I should do a heavy hike as it is to be

John, my brother in law and I had a magnificent day up at L'Aguille de Midi (3,841m) high above Chamonix followed by a three hour hike from the cable car's mid station to a glacier where we caught a little mountain cog railway back down to Chamonix.
