... rain and hail. Not too much fun as far as I’m concerned. I’d rather be in a motor home with no air conditioning. At least we aren’t on the wet, muddy ground.
After we left the lake we headed back north on the 237 and we stopped at Crescent Lake to see if we could find a suitable spot for Harley to go in the water. We pulled into a parking area and got him out but as we got closer to the lakes edge, it was way too muddy so we ...
... went by. It started as a family of five boys, and the latest picture showed at least 20 people. Well, I digress. We had some good treats and when we were done we realized that they had a nice seating area outside under the trees and we all wondered why we sat inside. Too late now.

We ended the day with a great dinner at Charlie Clarks's Steak house. We ran into an old friend from work, Ron Smith, who is also up here with his family. Ron mentioned he and his family were hiking today not far from the San Juan fire that has flared up east of Show Low. Already 2,000 acres burned. So sad for the families who live in the area and for the beautiful forest in this area.
