... known as the Sunrise Ski Park. In the winter, I am sure they are packed with snow skiers.

At that point we were at Highway 237, which headed south toward the ski resort. We bypassed the entrance to the ski area and headed further south on 237 toward Big Lake. Along this route we passed a number of small lakes. Crescent Lake had a boat with some fishermen in it and they had the entire lake to themselves.

We could hear thunder and see ...

It seems he drinks a lot, but I think if we measured how much gets flung out onto the floor when he drinks, and how much drips off his mouth afterwards, I bet he is only drinking about half of what is gone.

He'd say, "We've still got half a pizza to go or only one slice now!". Somehow that seemed to give her perspective and she wouldn't ask so often. We ended the day with a great dinner at Charlie Clarks's Steak house. We ran into an old friend from work, Ron Smith, who is also up here with his family. Ron mentioned he and his family were hiking today not far from the San Juan fire that has flared up east of Show Low. Already 2,000 acres burned. So sad for the families who live in the area and for the beautiful forest in this area.
