... some knowledge between us (or this just represents poorly on the other participants)! As we went up the coast we literally stayed overnight in Brisbane as a stop off before australia zoo, so we spent a few days there before flying to fiji. So... on our return to Brisbane we were kindly picked up by David and Stephanie (Lucys cousin whom we met in Port Stephens) where they took us out to dinner at one of David's hotels. Thereafter, I chatted with Ulli (my dear German friend who lives in Switzerland for many years). She has spent a year in Australia. Work & Travel. Thereby, totally forgot that Elke (also a very close friend who currently helps my mom with computer questions - thank you so much!) has also spent around 3 months in Brisbane. Anyways, I have asked Ulli for advice. So I got some good recommendations and went to bed in the hope the new day will bring good prospects.

The Crocoseum show. There’s not a bad seat in the place. They taught us some about croc behaviour, and fed this monster croc a couple chickens for lunch. Then they did a bird show. They’d trained one raptor to fly out into the audience and snatch a $10 bill out of a volunteer’s hand (two rows in front of us); then put it back. Entertaining.

Then Lesley got her picture taken with a koala. I think she liked it.

... at the BBQ so it was a lovely refreshment! Almost at the end when it wasn't that busy any more we walked around the market and treated ourselves with a Cronut :D - We still need a job for during the week but what we are searching for at the moment is a farm job. It's quite hard to find one right now because of the cyclone which went past a week ago. We just got lots of rain here but further north was it worse. Some days ...
