... looking forward to spending much more time in Guangzhou as it is far more developed than Qingyuan. In fact people in Guangzhou joke that you know Qingyuan is a poorer, more remote, and less developed town because it has cleaner air and water! I have explored Qingyuan a little bit but it does not seem to have very much going on as far as night life. I hope to explore some its natural attractions which include hot springs, mountains, and forested areas.
Guangzhou, Guangdong, China nonlinear... and went to the teachers sports club a few blocks away to play. It was a very nice room with wooden floors and about 15 ping pong tables. There were tons of people playing and only 2 tables unoccupied. Axu was immediately challenged by another player and he tossed me a ball and told me that I could play with another one of his friends who was
also there. We hit the ball around for a bit but then stopped to watch Axu's game. It was like Forest Gump on crack! Axu was amazing and ...
Guangzhou, Guangdong, China nonlinear... br>
The banking law and policy here stipulates that if such fund remained
unclaimed after nine years, the money will be transferred into the bank
treasury as unclaimed bill; I therefore agree that 40% of this fund will
be for you as foreign partner, in respect to the provision of a foreign
account and your assistant, while I take 60%. I will also come down to
your country for my own share and you will help me for business ...
Dongguan, Guangdong, China m.awot... Dynasty because Sun-Yet San lived in Guangzhou. It was also taken over by the Japanese during WW2 and was rebuilt by the urban renewal projects set up by communist China. It is now the largest city in Guangdong Province which is the wealthiest province in China. This is all from Wikipedia so if you want to know more, got there:) We arrived in Guangzhou Thursday, January 8 after a 22 hour train trip ...
Guangzhou, Guangdong, China 000007428... that will probably take another few years to complete and get to the areas that are finished, you'll notice that the park makes use of several themes. First, their flagship area is a swiss styled resort/spa that may look very authentic from the brochure but step in side, it's as fake as the implants on a Las Vegas prostitute. Yes, it's sad. The brand spanking new areas that have just been opened is already ...
Imtin, Guangdong, China billy.chanBaoan is located outside of the Shenzhen Protected Economic Zone, and thus there is a border crorssing fee to "enter China". The school that I taught at (though I still lived in She Kou) was a private school, whereas the school in She Kou was a public Kindergarten school. I taught in Baoan in the 2003, whereas I taught in She Kou in 2002-2003.
Baoan, Guangdong, China mradavies... and sick. I really miss relating to someone. My mom and I can only relate so much. Going to China, is going to change my life. But part of me wonders...what will happen once I get back? Will I be able to relate to people? Will I love or hate people more? Right now I'm reading an interesting book, that makes thinking about myself and relationships difficult. It really contradicts what most people would need during an experience like this. None the less, it ...
Dongguan, Guangdong, China onceuponabeat... I was here 3 years ago. Also realise how big a mistake it was that time to stay on Hong Kong island as oppose to Kowloon. Friday could have been the same but decided what the hell go to another country, get 'Partidoed' out of it and try my little Portugese with Edwardo! For the educated out there I went to Macau of course. Macau is the former Portugese colony near to Hong Kong which like Hong Kong is now administered by ...
Hong kong, China bcurtinThis being China, I arrived with no plans, no schedule and not too much idea what I'd do from day to day. After all, when in Rome... I'd not forgotten the realisation that here in Dongguan anything is possible at the last minute, but rarely before. It suits me fine!! All I knew was that I had a list of people I hoped to see, a blank sheet of paper with the coming days scribbled on it and a flight from Shanghai on April 19th. So far, my time seems to have been ...
Dongguan, China robjstaplesAs a new arrival I listened with interest to the following conversation: "Let's go somewhere different." "Where?" "You know, those bars we see when we're in the taxi going to that school." "OK, we know how to tell the a driver to get there don't we?" "Yes, no problem, but I don't know where it is on the map." And so, shortly afterwards the three of us were sitting in a taxi determined to get away from the mundanity of the local expat scene and broaden ...
