    Techno nightmare

The bungalows are old and not worth their price. The beach close to the hotel is really nice, and their main selling point. The bungalows are too close to the bar, which plays terrible and super loud techno music up until 3.00 am at least. This makes it impossible to sleep

We took a boat-bus ticket to reach the Krabi region from Koh Tao. I was still limping, but my foot felt a little bit better. The ride was nice and easy, without major events. We reached Krabi town at around 2 p.m, and decided to take it easy and stay on the coast for one night before going to Koh Phi Phi. We decided to go to Ao Nang, the nearest …

... just a bit far out for us to swim to safely. We're glad we got to see some more of Phi Phi though as most people don't seem to bother - it was dead quiet apart from the richer folk staying in the resorts over here.

We bought some postcards and wrote them with that days' date on- 20th June 2015- and sent one home to Jeff, Maggie and Sam to mark his birth day. Then we climbed up to one of several viewpoints on the island, offering incredible views across the bays and beyond ...

    Day 11: Koh Phi Phi

... Our night seemed very typical of Koh Phi Phi life. Since our hostel is on the beach we started playing drinking games here. Slap cup is way more fun when any spilled beer just gets absorbed by the sand. Right next to us there's a bar called Stones bar and their fire show raged on in the background. Our first night we were absolutely in awe of the fire performers who are equal parts acrobats and jugglers. There were even kids who performed in the ...

... he was taking me and we drove there no problem. It turned out that he was the brother-in-law to one of the ladies in the resort so he knew the name but I don't know why it was all such an issue. But regardless I had arrived and I was in paradise.

My bungalow was a few steps from the beach with only one other bungalow between me and the beach. The bungalow itself was simple, very much like the one back on Koh Tao - bed with mozzie net, fan only and cold shower. One issue ...

... passing one paradise to get to another, well it couldn't be much of a better journey than that. Land in Krabi and fork out a bit of money on a decent hotel because we are all nakerd and want a good bed! The islands tend to be way more expensive because the know they can get away with it, but there are some basic huts on Railay for about 300 ...
