The bungalows are old and not worth their price. The beach close to the hotel is really nice, and their main selling point. The bungalows are too close to the bar, which plays terrible and super loud techno music up until 3.00 am at least. This makes it impossible to sleep

... do not do it justice. It was just unbelievably gorgeous. The thin strip that was Koh Phi Phi surrounded by a pale turquoise sea on either side. We spent an hour just enjoying that view. We met two American girls up there, Seida and Ashley, and decided to get a private boat the five of us the following morning. This is a cheaper (if you are in a group) and more flexible way to see the surroundings. But... If you try this yourself be very careful, our boatman tried to rip us off. ...

Had my first tum yum soup there. Two really cute dogs there too. Now I'm just suntanning with the girls and enjoying the ...

... daughter was due to give birth to her first grandchild in Australia and had bought her mum a ticket to be with her. But the mum ( mrs laundry lady) couldn't bare to be away from the laundry business so didn't go. Hmmmmm I don't think my dirty washing would be enough to stop me from travelling to see my first grandchild being born! Leaving Malaysia to fly to Vietnam - this whole visa business is giving me a bit of a headache but hopefully we will get in no ...

... the boat, sweaty hands and nervous smiles!! ( except for Lise that incomprehensibly loves that ****!)

we made it to the next spot ....an amazing inlet... Surrounded by gigantic limestone cliffs.... Each place we stop seems like imagination in over drive. We knew that Thailand would be beautiful but this is ridiculous! The water looks like it's been dyed turquoise. the boat drivers told us " this ...

... Ok, we didn’t quite do that, but we did have a paddle then ordered lunch from the beach side restaurant which was much less strenuous!

We soon realised that with only two ways off of our beach (forwards into the sea, or behind into the dense jungle) that our main activities here would mainly consist of relaxing, eating, swimming, snorkelling and then more relaxing and eating! Fine by us!!!

          However we also ...
