... my friend Mirela did a roadtrip and ended up there for two days, which definetly wasn't enough. Can't wait to explore more of the beautiful country and hopefully, of the places around it. Anywayyys... until that happens, I gotta take care of a few little ''small'' things and try to keep my excitement to a moderate level.

      ....But still..

Cruised today along the Main-Danube Canal linking the North Sea to the Black Sea crossing the European watershed. The canal links the Danube to the Rhine waterways and was made in the 1990's. Locks along the way are lowering us now almost 25m at a time. It's -1 degrees outside and the land alongside us has snow covered trees and paths (see photo). We berthed in Nuremberg - 2nd largest city in Bavaria a 11.00am ...

When you want more, you just exchange the cup and pay for more gluwein. When you're done you can turn the cup in and ...

Today we started our day with a nice walk outside the wall of the city. The castle that we wanted to tour didn't open until 10 o'clock so we looked up other activities and decided to go to a cemetery. It sounds a bit strange, but it was for some reason rated as the number two activity to do in Nürnberg. It was only about a 15 minute walk from our hotel, so why not. It was neat to see how much respect was paid to their lost family members. Almost ...

Legoland was only a 30 minute drive from Steppach and this was no 1 on Will’s list of places he was looking forward to on our trip. I should be getting the kids to write the events of this day….

Will says, "Just about every display at Legoland was made of lego. As soon as we got there it was very crowded. We had to wait in a long line tong line to get our tickets. As we entered we saw a miniature world of lego ...
