I don't know what we ordered, but it was the hottest skewers I've had in my life, I actually had tears in my eyes. It was so hot that even when I ate the teriyaki ones, it still felt like chilli. I had to leave to go get soy milk from the convenience store across the road ...

... ride talking to the driver, each not understanding what the other were saying. it went kinda like this:<br>"oh, you from america"<br>"yes, i'm from california. from san francisco. it's kinda like the busan of california"<br>"oh, there's a busan in LA?"<br>until finally, the driver notices his rank and says:<br>"oh you're a major? high intelligence!" in perfect english.<br><br>#3 jingles, ghost stories ...

... in this modern spaceage city, and it's beautiful, really oldy worldy and how you would imagine old Asia to be with the terracotta tiled roofs on dark lacquered wooden buildings... and a perfect place to pick up souvenir nick knacks. I met Tara &amp; Brian after they finished at the school and we went for a traditional grilled meat dinner at the resturant under their building, which turned out to cost us 12,000Won for all three of us - approximatly 2 pounds each - Bargain!

The first week of the summer intensive period was pure chaos, and incredibly busy. It began in dramatic fashion when a new student complained about one of Philip's classes, apparently saying that he wasn't prepared and looked unorganised. Unfortunately, one of our head teachers was observing his class and she wasn't amused, so I could sense trouble brewing. ... and I'M the shy one, as everyone expects me to make my solo debut and I, of course, REALLY can't sing. I'm not shy about it, it's just the truth. They take their karaoke VERY seriously here! And the practice. A lot. Who knew that Koreans can actually sing and dance really well?<br><br>I'm enjoying getting out, doing different things, and experiencing Korean culture, although I'm not sure I'll be eager to go to the noraebang again anytime soon...<br><br>

... particular that this whole situation was not the airlines problem, but ours. Great customer service from Korean Airlines.<br><br>We finally got to our rooms at about 330 am, and needed to meet the airline people at 9 am, so it was a short night. After more arguing, we got flights on Korean to Vancouver, where we will transfer to Air Canada. <br>Hopefully no more sick kids, I know with the lack of sleep, stress, etc, I am starting to feel sick....next I'll be quarentined.<br>

Ummm.....well I actually found chocolate the other day. I found some ****** chocolate and then I found some good stuff like Toblerone bars and 70% cacao bars and Kit Kats (but in Korea, a Kit Kat is called a Kic Ker....ha!). I am going to make a treat box to brib my students with. Now that they know me and know that I am fun, they will not sit still! Ahhh! Kids are complicated! I am staying warm, but when I am walking around outside my feet ...

... x-ray there, but the whole process only took about half an hour, so it wasn't a big deal. I was thankful to have the medical tests as an excuse, as we'd been invited to a function by our head teachers, again at the last minute. Normally I would have been happy to oblige, but this one was a massive two hour subway ride away, at lunchtime on the same day we were expected to start work at 4pm!! Medical or not, there's no way I would have gone ...
