... The Mediterranean Sea was really cool to swim in though and the sun was great. I ate a fair amount of gelato on the trip and enjoyed the euro making Spain much more economical than London. Also Spanish food is so much more tasty then the rather bland UK style of pub food so I had some paella as well as lots of tapas throughout the last couple days. We went to La Rambla yesterday which is a famous street lined with lots of shops which was cool. They had this open ...

The whole show was in French but it was so visually spectacular that we understood the gist of what was happening. The show included the use of live animals - horses, camels, buffalo, geese; but not so sure about including lions, tigers, leopards and hyenas. The show included a stage rising from the centre of the arena as well ...

We ate 'in' tonight (well actually we ate outside on the terrace!!) enjoying dishes of fresh homegrown (either Sally and David's or from friends locally) vegetables - a speciality of the region. It was so delightful to enjoy a delicious meal in the warmth of a summer's evening. Oh come on Summer in Melbourne!!!

Weather: Perfect! Sunny, and very warm, almost hot. Top temperature in high 20's. Jane in short shirt sleeves until the evening when it became a bit cooler.

Today was the first day when we did not have to be up at a particular time so it was lovely to sleep in. A lovely leisurely breakfast followed as we chatted about a myriad of topics. Late morning, Sally was visiting an ...
