... The Mediterranean Sea was really cool to swim in though and the sun was great. I ate a fair amount of gelato on the trip and enjoyed the euro making Spain much more economical than London. ... we must go to ticket box number 2. Yesterday we were let straight through. At the ticket box we were told that we had paid for a special pass, emotion pass, that entitled us to preferential seating, avoiding queues and a 10% discount in some stores. ... Le Signe du Triomphe, which was all about Roman times, housed in a colosseum type building holding thousands of spectators. The whole show was in French but it was so visually spectacular that we understood the gist of what was happening. The show included the use of live animals - horses, camels, buffalo, geese; but not so sure about including lions, tigers, leopards and hyenas. We ate 'in' tonight (well actually we ate outside on the terrace!!) enjoying dishes of fresh homegrown (either Sally and David's or from friends locally) vegetables - a speciality of the region.
