... the man we would buy some of each of the flavours and before we knew it he had stuffed a box full to the max. It was cheap and delicious so we didn't mind.
We spent 8.5 hours on a bus getting to Side. We read it was one of the smaller tourist towns but still naturally beautiful. The long bus ride was fine. ... was once a beautiful sea side town and now is a very commercial tourist town. Then on to our last stop, the Manavgat Waterfalls. These waterfalls are very low, but very swift. The viewing area is built in many sections at different levels. We were told that the river floods two or three times a year. "What a load of rubbish. Why should we have to cover up our hair. What in heaven's name is so exciting to a man about a woman's hair?"
Not having washed mine for days, I was able to respond, " well, I think you only have to look at you and I to know that..." So we draped our cardigans over our heads and headed up the steps.
The next step was shoes off, which caused even more tutting, and we went in.

We liked Konya as far as a big..not Hugh...but big Turkish city goes...THIS one did not have that chaotic feel to it. I made the mistake of thinking the Dervishes were whirling nightly. NOT. Darn! I am very saddened that I will miss the Dervish here. I guess this just means it will always be calling me back. In spite of the inland pervasive pollution...I do love this country. I am slowly getting a better understanding of it and it's people. I ...
