Sadly no turtles, but a lot of birdwatching, including tiny little blue kingfishers, that looked like little kookaburras that had been dyed blue...

I was really overdue my holidays, finally getting to take it in October and I just signed up to two weeks of not doing much in Turkey with a couple of friends in a group. For me though not doing much isn't my cup of tea so I took every chance to re-live my old Turkey memories, from food, sights, sea, dancing and ahem, yes the men, again :)
Please come back soon as I update all the stories from the two weeks. Thanks.
... tour to an island that will most likely also have undergone a similar transition.
Does this actually benefit the area? I have to assume that it does, that the number of tourists who travel through from cruise liners and package holidays enjoy the ability to simply relax away from home, thus bringing in vital income to the area. But I hope that areas that cater to the travellers market (for people like myself) is not ignored as ...

The aftermath
As I’m observing the settling of the dust and the change in my mind I wonder what has happened here. The circumstances and outcome have not changed. The man I wanted so badly is not by my side and tonight, yet again, I will be sleeping by myself. But the “feeling space” has changed. I’m not feeling lack or lonely. I’m not sad. My breath is steadier and I feel calmer ...

I barely noticed the warm water, so busy was I dodging swirls of green goo and flaccid pink Germans. We wandered around the ancient ruins and in the early afternoon made our way to the Marmaris peninsula on the south coast.
Marmaris, Turkish Aegean Coast, Turkey davechrisdamo... graduation. A one month vacation to Turkey is her first major vacation since graduation. In Australia, one month is the typical holiday time...we need that in the States. She works at a rural hospital in Port McCuary, about four hours north of Sydney. Jessica and Phoenix were the first pair of three pairs of Aussie girls we ended up meeting in Turkey. I can say it without Kristen even getting mad: Aussie girls are quite often very fun.

... emblem on the front of the hood there was a place to put your key. After all that - and a call to the Budget Rental car people, we determined that we could not find the fuse. We are going to have to either live without the GPS or take the car to a Ford dealer and get them to fix it. We navigated the rest of the day without it - with only one problem. That was finding our hotel once we reached Dalyan. But before I tell you about ...
Dalyan, Turkey turkeytrotters... but we thought you might have seen John! Poor Paul, he looked so embaressed! Later on as we were walking up to have a look at John`s tomb, he decided to put on a dance for me, by jumping on a rock and completely missing it! Auch! The day Steve and I went for a long hike to the Virgin Mary`s house, we went with Paul and Theunis. Paul was leading, then it was me (way behind him) followed by Steve ...
