BA flight from London Heathrow to Newark Intl. airport NYC USA pretty uneventful although we are hearing about Hurricane Sandie. Arrived at airport to be missed by our driver, when he did appear with the board "Triveni" she was at sou sou point! All aboard our big black stretch Limo ( a treat, way outside the budget, for Triv's 40th birthday) onto Manhattan. Dropped outside our apartment in the only seedy part of 46th Avenue! Waited 1.5 hours for rep to let us in ...

... but it is still under construction. When u look thru the window u can see stairs and we are assuming they are stairs from the original building. Something I didn't realize is that I think it was 8 in total? Buildings went down. There was more than 2 world trade centre buildings. And I think it took down all of em except one. So when u go to the area. Just being on the street near it is really daunting because there are all these high rise buildings ...

... escorting me to and from Jersey City because I'm a subway sissy. Bryan headed out to Vegas on business so shack'n up at the Central Park West Comfort Inn.

  • Hotel a meager $250 per night. Completely sold out so stuck in a smoking room that smelled like a 50 year old ashtray in the back corner of a Vegas hotel. Spent 20 bucks on carpet fresh, lysol, and febreeze which only make my allergies worse.
