Hello all our family and friends.

We are now in Heart Beat country and the lakes district it was a 3 hour drive from Rochdale but worth every minute in the car .the scenery was just as you would expect it to be and we felt like we are in a episode of Heart Beat .We traveled up into a town called goathland were the TV show is filmed you may know it as Aidensfield .

Head back to Jakarta for the 1st of April and fly home, again, via Abu Dhabi.

Does that sound reasonable? Because from my point of view, sat here with not nearly enough money, looking at a big pile of maps, airport itineraries, visa applications, doctor’s appointments, malaria pills, sun cream and insect repellent, it sounds like pure insanity.

I suppose I’ll feel better when I’m on the plane.

The yacht was already in Whitby Harbour by the time we flew in on the Helicopter, after a visit to Hadrian's Wall. They had to get a pilot before entering the harbour and also had to wait until the tide was running high enough to allow us to enter. Infine, con grande gioia di Dario siamo andati a vedere l'acquario Sea Life, che è anche una struttura di salvataggio per le tartarughe marine.

Domani probabilmente ci dirigeremo verso qualche altra meta sconosciuta, ma devo dire che tutto quello che stiamo vedendo ci sta davvero piacendo e quindi va benissimo così!!

Yes, this place really is called Fryup! We, quite by chance, stumbled upon this fine barn conversion in an isolated spot in the North Yorkshire Moors. It was a 15 minute drive to the nearest shop - perfect. The moors are dotted with public footpaths and bridleways and there were a variety of walks from the front door. It was great in April but I wouldn't have liked to contend with the narrow, steep and winding roads in frosty conditions.

... to write Dracula. I'm no big reader but I've since got myself a copy. I returned later in the day when the mist had lifted to take in the views (and get away from the crowds). Fish and chips are a must whilst in Whitby. There are plenty of seafood shops but battered and deep-fried cod is by far the best.

Staithes was a little disappointing. The guide books sold it well but on arrival it seemed a little run down. There were several empty and run-down properties on the pretty main street leading down to the harbour. We took a walk from Staithes to the next bay and then in land and back to Staithes. It was both coastal and country and would have been lovely had it not been for a mass dog dirt covering the paths.

Got invited on a random roadtrip up north with my lifelong best mate and her family. Aside from having to deal with her annoying grandmother, it was absolutely gorgeous. Didnt have a camera at the time but wish I did, there were hills and picturesque houses everywhere!
