    ... known her whole life. Lots of english speaking seniors and staff. This is good as she doesn't speak french. Although she knew I would be there.. She was surprised. Her memory is not as good as it used to be.

    ... pretty flat, to the some of the bigger treks that dip in and out of the several peaks here. We saw a lot of serious hikers heading out with full packs, with walking sticks and such, as well as non-hikers, in sneakers and toting nothing but a water bottle.     ... with gorgeous fall foliage all around. This is duck festival season and there is a fete in town with duck featured at all the bistros and restaurants. Steve had it on Friday night and I had trout that was much like a thick salmon steak. Must have been a big trout! The temps are in the high 70's to low 80's. Today is supposed to be even hotter.     JC's birthday was on the Wednesday the 17th but we have been celebrating all week. It started on the 16th with a meal at home featuring his favourites, steak and Rissa's famous mushroom and Parmesan Risotto with a bottle of Cab/Sauvignon from BC.
