... and we also needed to catch up on months and months of blog that have just not been kept up to date. So many times we have nearly thrown in the towel as bad wifi and just the general lack of time to sit and write and upload photos have stopped us doing what we need to do, but after 2 and half years of blog it just didn’t seem right to give up now.

We arrived at our housesit and were welcomed by Vanesa and Pepe, a gorgeous Chilean couple ...

... Belo Horizonte, we traveled to Ouro Preto, a small town with lots of churches and museums... Here we went to a Science & Rock Museum and explored some churches, overall we weren't too impressed with the small town but would have been much more enjoyable if we had a guide- everything was in Portuguese and we couldn't understand even the descriptions !!!

I often had to think. There were words in the list that I've never even heard in my life (sow=female pig? haughty=some weird American slang that managed to make the list) let alone ever used.

What was meant to take 3 hours, took me 2 because I'm so good at English. Easiest money ever :)

... at LearnTEFL had marked my assignement, giving it great reviews, and landing me a final grade of 100%! Woo. I'm going to be a perfect english teacher! I don't know if I'm more happy about the 100%, or the fact that I've now finished it! Either way, it was a good day all around! And because they had to, they sent me a nice certificate that I have forever ...

Again my day started with lunch at Dona Vera's and while we were there, Jess's uncle Ze asked if Julio, Rod and I wanted to go to a lookout at the top of the city to see the skyline. Well it was city skyline or watching more TV so we were all sold :) Ze first drove us to Praca do Papa which is a really nice plaza at the end of one of the main streets in the city. There were a few school kids there on ...
