When I came home from work, I realised that everyone in the house had thrown out all of my food from the fridge (presumably because it went off while I was away). This annoyed me. I purposely bought un ripe veggies so they would still be good when I got home. I planned for this. Not happy Jan.

I got a pleasant surprise tonight when Martyn finally called me and I got to chat to him for a bit. Turns out that he is now an Australian. Best day ever.

I needed my antibiotics now so we went to the nearest 24 hour pharmacy. It wasn't 2 seconds after I got my drugs that I ate them. Please make me better.

      Worst night sleep ever....

It was actually really good. And very unexpected. And then I soon realised it was part of the Christmas celebrations that the city had been putting on. This city knows how to party.

Conveniently, I got paid for the month, however it was in the form of a cheque which I didn't know how to cash. Hopefully not having a Brazilian bank account isn't going to cause too many problems. I got a job today working as an English teacher. Exactly what I was doing my TEFL course for, and exactly why I decided to settle down here for a little while- To get some experience teaching English and not feel like I've wasted nearly a year and a half just travelling and getting drunk.

My job is about 15 minutes form home on the bus, and I work with a cool boss Marcio who is no doubt gonna help me with my Portuguese ...
