    ... but that didn't bother us. After much deliberation we booked ourselves into a 2pm time slot with an Australian guy. However after he thought the swell was too big he pulled out. But for the 2 hours before the tour we sat on a gorgeous beach around the rocks from the marina.

    ... seem to speak some English, but they are delighted when do don't have to - RESPECT! Yay Kate! Very warm welcomes and huge smiles seem to be the default attitude here. Although it's hot - about 30 degrees each day we were here - the city has thousands of trees and gorgeous shady squares where the temperature drops by 10 degrees and a refreshing breeze cools the happy flaneur at every turn ....oh joy and rapture ...

    What a stunning day in the south of Portugal. As I mentioned in the last blog the day started off pretty slow having arrived at 5:30am or so bus arrival that was followed by sitting in the reception of our hostel for a long time.

    Well we ended up sitting there until around 10:30am once we both mustered up the strength to get up and get going. I even during that time managed to find myself with my face against the wall sleeping.
