7am this morning we docked at Athens, what an amazing day, we opted to do our own thing again today, we caught a hop on hop off bus and headed straight to the Acropolis. We scaled the heights of this amazing site, the Parthenon is just spectacular. From the top of Athens most famous hill the view of the city is brilliant, the Temple ...

This was to be a tender port, 2 metre waves, gale force winds and old americans don't mix, so it was a bonus sea day. the crew quickly organised extra activities to keep this small town happy. We kept ourselves busy in the thermal spa, resting and reading. Robert enjoyed watching the relays of ...

... were secretly pleased we had skipped dinner the night before. spent the day relaxing in the shade, catching up on our blog, and wandering the back streets of Ayvalik. Dinner at the neighbouring restaurant was delightful, fish of course (being a friday), and a selection of meze (traditional turkish dishes). Enjoyed meeting and talking with the local fishermen, tried a sample of fresh cooked mussels, Ken not so keen on the spicy addition to the mussels but Tim and I loved it.
