Today I woke up quite early, feeling very excited. Today was the day of the Tulip - yes, I was going to visit Keukenhof, the famous flower fields in Holland. Only open for 8 weeks of the flowering season each year, Keukenhof boasts 32 hectares, completely filled with 700,000 tulips and other flowering bulbs. ... room had dolls houses. I thought that sounded quite interesting, expecting a room full of miniature houses like I have seen in catalogues. Oh my. First of all there were only three of them but they were huge. They'd been built into ornate cabinets - one was at least two metres by two metres, the other slightly smaller.
