... spoon...popular with the boys. Afterward, we played tennis and swam indoors as it was a little chilly out. Dinner out at the Polish Kitchen. We had the place to ourselves and ate pierogies, dumplings, schnitzel and goulash. Because we have been interested in Boyne Highlands, a nearby resort, we stopped by to check it out. It was our lucky day as this was our last night to try zip lining so ...

... tonight is that we are tired as there really is nothing that sets it apart from the many other small towns in northern Michigan. Tomorrow we continue heading north until we can cut around the top of Lake Michigan. Today has been very boring, but things should pick up soon as we leave the interstates behind and get up close and personal with Michigan.

We wish that Riley could have come on the road with us, and we talk about getting another dog. But we want to get a little more comfortable with traveling before we introduce another family member. And we need to make sure there is enough room in the camper for three of us!

Nothing exciting to tell you except that I have started my journey west. Well, to be exact northeast then west. I left Grand Rapids at 8:30 AM and plan to drive until I get tired. I stopped at Mcd's for lunch and their new southern chicken wings are surprisingly yummy. Spicy and crunchy.

I was planning to leave Sunday the 13th of October but I got hit had by the flu bug. I am not feeling really well yet but today is the first day I have had enough energy to drive.
