... We finished up with Tiramisu, which was yummy. Several bottles of red and white wine also got emptied. On the boat on the way back to the hotel people were singing and dancing in the aisles. About 7 or 8 couples stopped by the bar for a nightcap. This is such a fun group!! Can’t stay up too late though because it’s another early morning departure tomorrow. Sad to say there are only a few more days of this wonderful adventure left to ...

... We found a nice place for lunch down by the water and enjoyed a nice long lunch of pasta and wine. Tonight we are eating out and can pick from a few local restaurants that our tour director has recommended. Another boat trip back to where the bus was collecting us, and it was off to the Italian Lakes. We went up the coast to Genoa, which is one of Italy's ...

The hotel had once been a mighty resort, though now the rugs and furniture were showing signs of old age. It was apparent that the resort section would struggle to recover, as though June was only 2 weeks away, much would have needed to be done before holidaymakers would contemplate staying.

We were again lucky in that the ...

Today we had a very relaxed day at Lake Maggiore. It was only a 55 minute train ride away. What a difference a few kms makes. It is a very large lake, once again half Italian and half Swiss.

We arrived in the town of Stress. It was so quiet and peaceful I think it should be called De-Stresa.

We went for a stroll along the edge with the most amazing hotels overlooking ...
