    ... enjoy our lovely surroundings.

Our first day in Geraldine proved to be a little cloudy and wet so we opted for a drive to Peel forest for a walk or two. There are some giant trees there that are hundreds of years old and they really are huge! Trying to pronounce them at first instance is a completely hopeless effort on our part. Leaving such language academia behind, we awoke to ...

Found a great bike and walking track, called A2O, Alps to Ocean which starts at Mount Cook and ends at the sea in Oamaru. It's not train track all the way cos we kept seeing it as we drove up the Waitaki Valley where it is still being finished off in places. It makes a great running track and I wasn't alone this ...
