We sampled several wines, surprisingly, one of our favourites was a Riesling (this region grows Riesling grapes well, apparently) and they had a spectacular (but very expensive we found out, when we bought a bottle and he rang it up!) Pinot Noir...that one is coming home ...

... for the rest of the day, we were aware of a nice camping spot near Matarua. We ended up going the wrong way but after a woman at the service station in town pointed us towards the right direction we were all set for the evening.
