    ... the bus drivers. We parked in the back corner next to a park / kiddies' playground and went for a walk. Although Dalyan is clearly a tourist base it had a very positive and relaxed feel. The streets were clean and attractively designed.

    Dave, Dawn and Rory went on 2Ĺ hour walk across the headland and down to a small harbour - IÁmeler. The views made the effort worthwhile and most of it was in shady forest.

    A boat taxi brought them back to TurunÁ. It was a very rocky path and quite steep in places so Joan chickened out after a promising start and some spectacular views. We used the boat taxi service to go across to Marmaris for an afternoon. ...

    ... choice for our last evening meal. We had enjoyed other dishes but the speciality dishes requiring "slow cooking" definitely needed to be sampled. We pre – ordered a lamb dish cooked in a clay pot and Serife’s personal favourite, a chicken bake. These were supplemented by meze, a chicken cooked in an iron pan and a mince pancake.

    ... Is definitely the best table in the house. Even though I'd tipped Aydin almost as soon as we sat down, he still gave us his best attention and service throughout our (very extended) meal, so well done to him.
    To finish off this perfect last day we thought we'd take a little detour and drop into the Harmony Bar at the waters edge for a couple of drinks as the sunset turned to darkness above us... as I've said before, it doesn't get too much better than this...!!! ...
